Look to the Library to Build Your Skills with Lynda.com

Over the recent months I’ve been sharing all the services that continue to be provided at the Dansville Library, like Contactless Item Pick-up and Grab & Go requests.  I’ve also mentioned the digital viewing, reading and listening content available through Hoopla, Overdrive, RBdigital and Kanopy.  This month I’d like to share that CADL members have free access to Lynda.com.  Featuring thousands of instructional videos created by experts from software, creative and business industries, Lynda.com is a terrific resource for students, entrepreneurs, hobbyists and job seekers.  I’ve used Lynda.com to improve my photography skills and to learn about using Microsoft Teams for my work.  The videos are easy to follow and organized in segments so that I don’t have to watch a long video to find the concept I’m interested in.  So the next time that you want to learn a new skill, skip YouTube and log in to Lynda.com from the CADL website.                                           Lynn Harper,  Head Librarian-Dansville Branch
