Brooke D. Baker and WooferSnacks!
Introducing Brooke D. Baker!
Brooke has a business called WooferSnacks that she first started when she lived in Chicago. Her inspiration for the business came from her first Puggle named Sprout. Sprout had major allergies on his legs and elbows, so Brooke started researching foods and treats before deciding to make her own at home. It greatly helped reduce Sprout’s allergies and Brooke was able to skip on the large vet bills in the city. Brooke would pass out extra dog teats to her neighbors, and one of them gave her the suggestion of starting a business. Once she moved back to Michigan, she pushed through with the suggestion. Brooke officially started selling her treats in 2010 and has continued ever since. She opened new products along the way, such as making dog toys, sewing bandanas, sewing crate pads, making training bells and more! She says, “It has blown up pretty well for me, and I take pride that I am hand making all of these items myself. I’m a one person show.” As her business progressed, she began offering pet services. She works for Rover and Wag as platform companies where individuals can contact her for services they may need. She offers dog boarding in her home, dog walking, drop-in visits, and the occasional doggie daycare. Sometimes she even does farm visits! She has over 140 five-star reviews and takes pride in giving great care to each pet that she comes into contact with. Her ultimate objective is to give as much love back that she can to each pet, as she has received from her own!
Here is a photo of her two current dogs, Tobi and Buddy! (We are big fans of these two!) You can reach Brooke at 517-599-3268 or email her at info@woofersnacks.com. You can also find WooferSnacks on Facebook and Instagram!
