Library Update!

Back to the Books (and more!) with the Student Success Initiative

The Dansville Library is partnering with Dansville Schools to provide all students easy access to educational resources. Through the Student Success Initiative, all enrolled students receive a free library card. These cards provide access to books, audiobooks, magazines and more in both digital and physical formats. These library cards can also be used for computers in the library, and to check out mobile hotspots. Students can access Tutor.com with their library card for free. This service provides live online tutors with no appointment needed from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. daily. Additional options include: Drop-off Review for essays/writing, resumes/cover letters, and math help; and Self-Study Tools for standardized test preparation and more! Students can also access all CADL (Capital Area District Library) digital content platforms such as Overdrive for books, audiobooks and magazines; Hoopla for books, audiobooks, music and movies/TV; and Kanopy for movies/TV.
There are no fines accrued for materials checked out with any library card account, so parents and guardians have one less thing to worry about.
We hope you and your student will take advantage of all the resources these cards have to offer! You can learn more and watch a video tutorial at cadl.org/studentsuccess.
